ENWorld reports that Wizards of the Coast has Scrouged up Christmas for a number of it's employees just before Christmas they have often done in the past.

"An anonymous source tells me that WotC had it's usual annual pre-Christmas layoffs yesterday - and that Rob Heinsoo, Logan Bonner, and Chris Sims were among the casualties."

There are confirmations from some of those laid off on the ENWorld message boards by Chris Sims and Logan Bonner. Logan also mentions that there were four people from the graphics design team that were also let go, but that he doesn't "...feel comfortable divulging their information personally."

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those that lost their jobs, and to those that are left to pick up the pieces. It seems strange to me that with a 5 day a week release schedule for their Dragon and Dungeon magazines that they would release so many. I suppose many of those people will go on to do great things with a stint at Wizards of the Coast on their resumes.

If I win the lottery anytime soon maybe I can start a Wizards of the Mid-West and hire some folks! :) It would probably have to be mostly lawyers because with a name like Wizards of the Mid-West, I'm sure Hasbro would be giving me a call and sending a few letters.
