Looking at Erik you know his mother mated or was raped by an orc. However Erik's kind heart makes him different then any orc. Erik's mother raised him with her husband a retired temple guard of Pelor. Erik's parent loved him and he loved them. However none of the other towns folk or kids showed any signs of even liking Erik they only tolerated Erik because his father was part of the ruling console.

As the town's boys grew it was their responsibility to train with one of the town guard to learn how to defend the town in times of orc attack. Erik though he was allowed to train was never allowed to use a weapon. So Erik learned from his father what the others would not teach him. His father also taught him to fight unarmed. Erik's orc's heritage really started to show when he started growing tusks. Erik would go walking in the woods when he could get away from the town. Most of the guards in town was happy to let him leave and secretly hoped he would never return.

On Erik's 15th birthday he went for a long walk in the woods and came upon a bear, Erik had the unfortunate luck of coming in between the cub and it's mother. But Erik's training with his father came in handy. When the bear came to attack Erik he was able to wrestle the bear down and knock it unconscious. He played with the cub a little before leaving it to care for its mother and decided to look for the cub at a later date. The cub grew some from when Erik first saw it but some how Erik and the cub recognized each other. Over the next two years Erik and Sam as Erik has come to call the bear; became the closest thing to a friend Erik had ever had.

However disaster struck the little town Erik lived in an Orc raiding party. While Erik was out with Sam the orc's came in killing half the population including his parents. When Erik saw the smoke, he ran home. To find orc and human bodies laying all about. Erik's house was burnt down and the remains of his mother was found near the well. Erik's father died defending the town hall where most of the younglings where hidden when the attack started.

Erik ignored most of the comments made to him saying it was his fault and he gathered up his father and cared him home. Erik found an undamaged shovel and dug graves for his mother and father and just finished when the mob of town folks arrived with weapon to kill Erik. Erik was devastated at the loss of his parents and almost gave up then, but thoughts of not seeing Sam again made him mad. Erik tried to to resist but the towns folks never liked Erik, and Erik fighting back only made them want to hurt him more.

Someone caught Erik in the head with the very shovel he bared his parents with and he went down. But rather then just kill him like all the other orcs they want to torturer him a bit more they dragged him to the well and threw him in, when Erik hit the water he roused and attempted to climb out but by then the towns folks started to thrown bits of Erik's house down upon him. Erik finally succumb to the weight of the wreckage and sunk down into the well only to be swallowed up my the darkness of the water around him.
