MapTools
First off, I just started listening to your podcast and want to say Thank You for such a great product! I enjoy the open endedness, opinionated down to earth talks. As for MapTools, some of the problems you encountered have fixes (not the word I want to use, but all I can think of right now). To use waypoints, while moving the token click on the space bar on the cell you want to show where your character went. As for vision, this is setup in the campaign file. Some of the others, which I forget at this point, just ask on the forums which is a friendly and great site.
