RPG Bloggers Announce Handoff - Hear more tonight at 8pm with Chatty DM on the Lords of Tyr Podcast! Updated

Duane O’Brien of http://aterribleidea.com/ is the new site runner of the RPG Bloggers Network.
Duane’s proposal was chosen unanimously among the 4 of us after a
hidden vote and much discussion. His proposal was based on ideas that
we ourselves had wanted to implement to provide a better user
experience for both bloggers and readers, with the coding expertise to
back it up. It keeps our vision for the RPGBN intact while moving it
forward in new directions. It makes the transition process a smooth
and easy one for all the members who don’t keep up with all of our
workings to suddenly find that everything had changed and more was
expected of them. Additionally, it was a good compromise between
several of the other proposals, incorporating better technologies to
make it run more smoothly and involving the community to a much
greater extent to give members a bigger say. Overall, we were very
impressed with the proposal: I know I’m being vague here, but I want
to leave all the details for Duane to reveal himself so I don’t steal
his thunder or get anything wrong.
Duane Responds on the RPGBN Google Group
Thank you all. I'm in the process of putting together a response that
will give a little more insight into what's down the line. But you
can be assured that the RPGN isn't going anywhere.
I have an email out to Duane to comment for this article (I'll post his comments here). I have also invited him onto an upcoming podcast. Good luck Duane! We'll be watching for some exciting stuff!
Update: From Duanes Blog at http://aterribleidea.com
A short history for people just tuning in.
I belong to the RPG Bloggers Network. A couple weeks ago, the guys that run the network announced that they were stepping down for a variety of reasons. Chaos ensued [citation neded] and there was a followup announcement that they would accept proposals for a hand-off of the network to someone else.
That same day, I quietly put together and submitted my own proposal. Then came a couple weeks of waiting. I tried to lay low, not bugging the guys in charge because I knew they had their hands full. But I was also a little antsy. In the end, my proposal was accepted, and I will be taking over the RPGBN.
I’m sure you all have a number of questions. I will try to address some of them now, and more in the coming days.
