Descended from the noble ranks of dragon kind, the Reytu, and a proto elf like humanoid race known as the Aliston, the Asucronians have an austere pedigree. At first glance these beings can be easily mistaken for human, though a closer look will point towards these origins. Like most humanoids, they are bipedal with a symmetrical physique, with five digits on each hand and foot, yet there are subtle differences. Their skin tone and hair color is far more diverse than a standard humanoid. Skin tones range from the palest whites to the darkest browns and blacks, even gold often with a metallic hue, which could be attributed to their draconic lineage. A hint of sub-dermal scale formations can be seen upon close examination. Hair colors include afore mentioned range along with vibrant orange and red colorations with a variation in highlights and with a silken consistency. Their thin eyelids glide like lordly mantles over slightly slanted eyes, which span the full color range of their ancestry. Asucronian faces share the delicate structure of their elf like kin with high cheek bones tapered chins and long elegant ears that sometimes come to a single or even multiple points. Rare and subtle vestigial features such as horn or whiskers can sometimes manifest though are often easily covered or concealed.
Their expressions hide little of their subdued arrogance and self believed superiority though this is often mixed with a morose sense of loss. Asucronian physiques vary as much as other humanoid species though tend towards a thinner wiry build. Their hands, feet and limbs are quite dexterous with an unusual level of flexibility, which shows in the slightly higher average Dex score. Though the Asucronians have a high sense of themselves, they rarely dress in their ancestral fineries as it draws too much attention. More often than not, they will blend into their surroundings in whatever society they currently belong to. This does not mean that they lack any creature comforts or their sense of proper fashion when the opportunity presents itself. They will always dress in at the highest level possible while not losing sight of their place in a given context.

Combat Asucronians have a natural cunning which is legendary and worthy of their heritage. Before the downfall of their civilization this race fought battles against the worst the known planes of existence could throw at them. Ultimately it was not their lack of ability, but their lack of humility which finally ended their blessed status and disbursed what remains of their culture throughout the known planes of existence. Equally skilled with any weapon when properly trained, Asucronians can take on any class imaginable. These beings tend to error on the side of caution, and prefer gain as much knowledge as possible about any potential opponent before engaging them. When possible, they will use their bluff and diplomatic skills to fool rivals into depleting their powers making them easier targets. If cornered, they will fight without reservation or fear.
SocietyKnown to some as the fallen race, Asucronians are a secretive people with an unfortunate past. Once very powerful, the Asucronians fell from grace when as a people they turned their backs on their deities. Where once they enjoyed a host of spell like, extraordinary and other abilities, as a race they have now been stripped of these. As descendents of a rich culture they study their past in secret and mostly keep to themselves, thought they attempt to blend into their adopted societies. Anonymity is key to their survival and though they can easily recognize each other, those not of their race would be hard pressed to pick them out. Asucronians are often treated with fear and suspicion in polite society even to the extent of being derided by some groups once their heritage is known.
As it is true with most groups, the majority of living Asucronians had little to do with their race’s fall from grace save for the sin of being born to a group with such a reputation. Though it is uncommon for them to find, they will seek out more open minded groups, often a small band of adventurers who can benefit from their unique talents and will accept them. Should an Asucronian’s bluff score be beaten, it still requires a knowledge history or knowledge religion DC 20 check to have a clue as to their true origin. A score of 30 in either one of these checks will reveal their true nature.
