Suggestion for functionality

If possible, does this software allow earlier posters to recieve email notifications when there is a comment reply to a topic they post.

Additionally can the forum email everyone when a front page comment has occured ala' "There's something new afoot at Lorts of Tyr website..Check it out here:

I'm not seeing anything specific on the Drupal site for this functionality but I'll dig around and see what I can do.

I found some modules that will do this

I'll be working on it this week. You should be able to subscribe to any forums or posting categories and it will send you an email when anything gets updated.

I'm also setting up event calendaring so we can have the game schedule and other stuff on there.

a calender would rock, thank you very much. even though it smells a bit too much like we are getting **gasp** organized

also, i think it would be great if there were a way we could make an area to post character sheets. this would help me to plan better (especially later on) and would also be useful incase anyone loses their sheet (again, that would mainly be me...)
