Session #4: Dark Days Ahead

I apologize if this is inaccurate in any way, but it has been a long time since this session happened. Let me know if I got something wrong or missed anything.
Last we left our intrepid adventurers...
-Alphonse had gripped the Dagger of Vecna and immediately was overwhelmed with insanity, and the compulsion to get at the bleeding holy book of Heironeus.
-Mahad stepped in the way, making sure that Alphonse would have to go through him in order to reach the book, and attempted to safely diffuse the situation
-Alphonse promptly went invisible, and with seemingly no regard to any goals or any semblence of order, ran around the battlefield chanting nonsense and occasionally casting a random spell.
-While all this was happening, Lianer decided to pick up and wield the Sword of Heironeus. With great effort he succeeded, and the Sword proceeded to Judge him. With Lianer standing there in a daze, with concentration evident on his face, Dair decided to try and help. He first came close, putting his dagger in a soft spot by Lianer's leg. After that, he decided that possibly damage may bring him out, and pricked the inside of Lianer's leg, causing minimum damage. The sword however saw this as an attack, and with Lianer's judgement of "disarm", Dair lost his arm! Combat ensued, and Lianer was put down, and his fighter spirit was absorbed into the sword.
-In the meantime, Alphonse was eventually caught and tied up. It took most of the party to do so. He continued to babble, but occasionally Alphonse would have a moment of clarity, and began to attempt to communicate with the rest of the group. He began to communicate that he was under the influence of the dagger, and tried to communicate that they needed a few things for a "ritual" to fix the bleeding book.
-Mahad then decided he should attempt to wield the Sword. Through doing, he proved his toughness as the sword grew exceedingly hot, hot enough to begin to melt stone, and Mahad still held true. The sword attempted to Judge him, and with the spirit of Lianer's help, was able to resist utter destruction.
-Then, all of a sudden Alphonse had another moment of clarity and was able to somehow release the dagger. He was not able to recall anything that happened the previous day, but he was alright. But, a small and sinister thought kept creeping that he should have the dagger and attempt to gain it under his control.
-It was decided to encase the book and the dagger in stone, and that was done.
-The spirit of Lianer then had a decision to make. A Solar by the name of V'uun(probably wrong) spoke to him. Lianer decided to devote his life to goodness and Heironeus and was then purified. His spirit was sent back to the Material Plane, and re-entered his body. Lianer's body was almost obliterated by the ordeal, and had some great damage that would take time to heal.
-After seeing what happened with Lianer, Tal, a consecrated harrier of Heironeus, picks up the sword. He is able to will it to a normal size, and after some experimentation even sheathe it. A problem arose however when the sword began to judge all the party members. Tal was able to control it then, but it is unknown for how long.
-Once everything was settled the group decided to do some exploring, as well as some checking. They found quite a bit of treasure in the temple, as well as a bag of devouring. They turned the bag inside out, and many bodies fell out. One of which was reincarnated, a most *humble* mage and follower of Boccob, Merv the Magnificent. It turned out that he was reincarnated back into a human, which was a good thing.
-As the group explored, they found more treasure beneath the temple, as well as 3 other things of note. One, the obsidian coffin that housed the Heironeus Adept. Two, a passage through the wall that seemed to lead to a cave. And 3, a door that was magically sealed, that led to a summoning chamber.
-The group decided to explore the chamber, and Dair was able to allow them to enter. Inside they found a summoning circle, with a very large book at one end. Lianer used it, and ended up summoning the same Solar that he had previously spoken to.
-Through some discussion, the group found out that Heironeus himself was dying. They had to do something, and received a starting point from the Solar. They had to see a githyanki hermit in the Astral plane to be set upon the path of obtaining the items needed for the reversal ritual.
-While the party was speaking to the Solar, Alphonse was having a mind-conversation with Dair that was none-too-pleasant. The solar, reading Dair's thoughts, demanded to be let out of the circle. With the holy might of Heironeus behind him, Tal used the sword to cut through the symbol, freeing the Solar. The Solar gathered up the remaining party members, which included Alphonse. After some discussion, Alphonse attempted to sneak out the door, with the intention of trying to get the Dagger of Vecna back. With tears in his eyes and heavy heart, the Solar literally Destroyed Alphonse.
-The last bit of wisdom the Solar had before he was forced to go was to tell the group everything was connected, from the current vampire/werewolf situation on up.
-The group then decided to get the remaining survivors out of town, and hired the newly arisen Merv to do it. He teleported the civilians out and pledged to come back the next day.
