In the aftermath of the battle the group split up. Justamere, Yoric, and Xander began looting the torture room.

Yattannee decided the corpses should get a proper burial, and requested help from Rhiannon. She helped gather the bodies but began shaking and hyperventilating whenever

she neared the door to the crypt proper. Yattannee and Rhiannon began gathering the bodies, with Rhiannon leaving the bodies at the door for Yattanne to place back in their tombs.

Xander detected something magical behind a brick wall and managed to remove enough mortar crawl through the hole he made. He was mostly through when he was horrified to find out there was no hole. Now dangling over a pit, Xander attempted to climb back into the torture, but slipped, falling through the hole.

Meanwhile, Zathrus, Nailgus, and Westfur investigated a secret door. Zathrus detected with his magic that there was some form of poison trap. Protecting himself and his privates as best he could, Zathrus opened the door. Unfortunately, that was only part of the trap, and Zathrus was unceremoniously dumped down a trap door.

When Yattannee finished with the corpses, Rhiannon and Yattannee both expressed regret that Kuric's corpse would be entombed with these former undead. It was then that Crispin stated that among his possessions was a scroll that might help. Rhiannon and Yattannee immediately began looking for his possessions.

Meanwhile, Zathrus and Xander both found themselves dumped into an underground lake. Zathrus saw Xander hit the water and said "Of all the holes, why did I have to fall in one with him. Yoric cast light on a stone and sent his owl familiar carrying the stone after Xander. With the light both saw each other and realized their predicament.

Since Zathrus and Xander hate each other, this scenario has the making of a buddy movie.

Rhiannon, Grimtooth, Yattannee, Justamere, Crispin, and the gnome found an iron bound door with an expensive integral lock as part of the door. Justamere pulled out his pick (the weapon, not lockpicks) and began to work on breaking the lock.

Nailgus and Westminster went over to where Rhiannon, Grimtooth, Yattannee, Justamere, Crispin, and the gnome were and informed them about what happen to Zathrus. Tony used some green slime (from the nearby hall) to destroy the already damaged lock and burst the door.

Inside was an armory. Leather, studded leather, clubs, hand axes, scimitars, and Various shields with a single eye emblazoned on them. Yattannee and Rhiannon chose new scimitars, the gnome chose a short sword, and Crispin equipped. Also, several barrels were stacked up. Rhiannon pushed over one and brandy spilled out. Westminster found one with salted meat. Opening the rest three more barrels were filled with salted meat and one more with brandy.

Justamere remembered he had keys and opened the door to another room was filled with glaive, polearms, and chests (filled with at least some magic). Justamere proceeded to look through the room, and finally called the rest of the group in.

Looking through the room, Crispin found his scroll with raise dead, then proceeded to begin the work to raise Kuric.

About this time Zarrakaf returned. He reported that Hesir of Wotankeld was defending the base camp from near constant zombie attack. Lucklly he was staying one step ahead of them, at least for the time being. After requesting some help to hold the base camp (if possible).

Meanwhile, Xander began to swim around looking for an exit, with Zathrus following him just out of the range of his light. They discovered two things of consequence.

First, Zathrus found a couple of high level spells carved into the wall, as if by a massive clawed hand. From the height and size Zathrus estimated a dragon type creature at least 60 feet in length. Xander saw a large number of lizards writhing in the corner, and walked around a landmass to avoid them.

Getting bored, Rhiannon remembered that Xander had fell in the water. Remembering they needed rope, she tried to come up with an alternative. She then remembered the Ogre she had disemboweled and remembered he had intestines. Cutting a length she went to the hole where Xander had fallen through. When she got there she saw that Yoric had already tied a knotted rope to the rocks, but it was not long enough. Despite protests (from both Zarrakaf and Nailghus) tied the intestines off and threw the bulk over the side. Unfortunately her knot was did not hold and the entire mass went over the edge.

Finally, Nailgus decided enouggh was enough and climbed down the rope. It was merely inches from the surface of the water. Rhiannon followed shortly afterwards, leaving Grimtooth above.

About this time Xander saw the owl was back carrying a light source. Concerned that he would be given away if the light source came by him. So he decided to chance a run over the landmass to avoid being too close to the tiny lizards. Unfortunately, it turned out that the landmass was the snout of a humongous green dragon.

Xander immediately scrambled off of the snout and quickly began to walk away. In draconic it said, "Do not move food". Not knowing draconic, Xander kept going. It repeated its request in common, and Xander turned to speak with it. He offered it his services, but it declined seeing no use for him. Desperate, and realizing very little would keep him from ending up in the beasts stomach Xander offered his service unto seven generations to whatever demonic patron would take him.

Much to Xanders surprise, he received a reply. He was told to run and the dragon was temporarily stunned. Xander immediately made his way towards a crevice he had spotted earlier in an attempt to escape. However, just as he made his way to safety the crown on his head seemed to glow red hot and he passed out from the pain.

Meanwhile, Zathrus knew better than to look a gift dragon in the mouth. He swam towards the light source Mike spotted earlier, seeing Rhiannon urging the group to go "up up". Zathrus joined them and started up the rope as well.

Getting to the top, Rhiannon breathlessly explained that 1) There was an ancient green dragon down there, 2) Xander made some form of pact with a demon, 3) they should run. Zathrus was way ahead of her and started towards the stairs. Yoric and Zarrakaf both argued that leaving the moat house was foolish. After all, the green dragon was too big to walk around inside, so he obviously had some exit to the outside. Worse, the group would be sitting ducks to a flying dragon out in the open. In the end it was decided that since this area of the dungeon seemed to be cleared out, heading up to the upper level to explore the rest of the area was not a bad idea.

Yoric and Zarrakaf worked together to finally clean out the green slime covering the archway and the group headed up. Zathrus felt putting a continent between him and the angry dragon was a good idea. So he ran out the front door of the moathouse and kept going. Most of the group decided to check out the unexplored area of the upper level and hope for the best.

While in the unexplored area, the group was attacked by a giant blue tick. Thankfully blue ticks are not that bright. However, they are noisy, and shortly the group was attacked from the rear by hobgoblins. Grimtooth and Nailghus went to deal with that threat when someone was heard intoning a spell from behind a door. Rhiannon responded by producing flame in her hand and Kuric responded by kicking down the door. The cleric in green on the other side quickly found himself on the defensive, as he was surrounded by the party. Rhiannon used her produced flame, Kuric used his mighty axe, and Westminster attacked with his sword. Yattannee struck with his sling and Zarrakaf made several shots on the run. The cleric quickly fell, undoubtedly cursing having *not* gotten out of bed that morning.

At this point we decided to end rather than continue looting, since it was getting late.
