Niles and Vala were taking the old crone back to town. After Niles smooth-talked her, she revealed that one of the prisoners was killed by an ettercap. Upon arriving in town, Vala was questioned by the local page boy. Niles lied to the boy and said they were the only survivors. They boy was horrified until Niles told him the truth. The group then decided to turn into the inn for the night. While there, Tuldil'el saw the unusual group enter and went to bless Niles and Vala. Tuldil'el explained that he was blessing them since they were known as risk takers. However the two snubbed him and he began offering to help the townsfolk. Using the Make Whole ritual, Tuldil'el began repairing the inn. The innkeeper was so grateful he comped the room.
Meanwhile, the rest of the party decided to rest for the night. Almirith took first watch, Wardren took second, and Duamerthrax took third. On Duamerthrax's watch Deifenbacker began to growl. This caused Duamerthrax to notice a small group of goblins passing by, discussing something in their debased tongue.
While waiting for the other party members to rejoin the group, the party discussed possible names for the group. After hours of debate the name Stormlord was settled on, as it offended no one and delighted one member (Hurricane).
At this point a group of goblins entered the caverns while Almirith was awake and aware of them. The group decided to ambush them. Hurricane unleashed a force orb on the goblins, killing several while the rest of the party leapt on them from above. The combat was fast and furious. Hurricane fired attacks at the enemies, but was targeted by goblin sharpshooters. Duamerthrax took a vicious crossbow bolt to the leg. The noble Wardren was temporarily downed, but a few inspiring words from Almirith brought him back to his feet. Samantha charged into battle, sticking a goblin with her vicious gypsy long-knives. At this point Niles, Vala, and Tuldil'el arrived on the scene, turning the tide of the battle. One goblin surrendered. Almirith told him to run for his life and never come back. As he ran away, Niles confused him with his wily tounge, bringing him back towards the group where he was killed by Hurricane and Wardren.
The group re-entered the dungeon. The group travelled back through the west doors with the plaque on it that says “To Von Urstadt.” They saw that the bodies had been cleaned up in the goblin warren. The Stormlords travelled through the door to the west. In that room was a flickering tapestry. Tuldil'el tossed a gold piece through the tapestry, causing two ochre jellies to pop out of the tapestry. Wardren and Sam each engaged one. The rest of the party engaged the jellies. As the battle continued, the jellies split.
Meanwhile, Vala, Hurricane, and Niles were attacked by a pair of spectres that joined the battle from hallway. With the frontline still engaging the jellies, it was quite an unpleasant surprise. Struck by a spectral barrage, Niles and Hurricane fell prone. An additional spectre joined the battle, and things began to look grim for the party. The battle was fierce and brutal., as more spectres began to swarm while other party members were still engaged in battle with the ochre jelly. Ultimately, the party prevailed, but Duamerthrax found himself on his last reserves.
