DnD Evangelism

Is there a good time that we the Lords & Ladies of Tyr can plan a bring a friend to DnD night?
I'm envisioning a night when everyone can arrive on time and maybe we EVEN start a little EARLIER. Each of us would be invited to bring a person who is a previous-but-hasn't-played-since high school-DnDer or a newbie-DnDer. But you wouldn't have to if you don't want to.
We would need to have someone DM a new game that way everyone starts the same and we might need to include time to create characters as a group so the new-to-DnD people don't feel intimidated (For lack of a better word).
I'm thinking of this for several reasons. One to evanglize DnD to those who've never played. And a piggyback to that is to have other newbies that might join our other games merely for my selfish purposes of wanting other confused -- I mean new to DnD people to commisserate with. I feel like it is a good way for me to officially come out of the closet as a DnD gamer girl and also I just think it would be cool. I do have a few people in mind that I would invite to something like this.
What do you all think!?!

I'm all for it. I know Steph
I'm all for it. I know Steph and I have talked about inviting some neighbors to come play sometime.
I agree with Rob. We are already at capacity with our current group. It would have to be a side group that meets maybe once per month for 3-4 hours in the afternoon perhaps. There are only so many late nights I can take when I have church early in the morning ;) hehe.
Maybe we can do something on an off Saturday or Sunday afternoon? I'm totally up for it.

I am all for D&D Evangelism, but...
I am concerned about group size, especially if everyone brought in a new player. It is not just because of room size, but because I am worried that it might be difficult for a new player to navigate the chaos that is an average Lords of Tyr session. Or to put it another way, if they have to wait a half-hour until their turn, they may not find it the most enjoyable experience.
Maybe it might be better to set up a smaller session with 3-4 Lords and 3-4 newbies on an off-night. Those who show a real interest can join the main Lord's of Tyr group later if they desire.
So what does everyone else think?

Even more people?
You want to increase the LoT rolls? I thought you were building a barn in the backyard to handle the current roster! I'm all for it! It's how I found the LoT.
