Since we are a technical lot, this will be a bit interesting. We all know that Wizards kind of...well, lacks competence in the digital arena. Seems as though they are really having some issues. To be fair though, they are issues that any content creator must deal with now.

Once again, Wizards fails
Once again, Wizards fails their knowledge check. Don't they know that no matter what they do it will be pirated? They are better off selling PDF's than not. At least that way, a bunch of people that want it electronically will be able to get it in a legal fashion.
Heck, I think they should just put in a free coupon in all the hardcopies for a digital download.
There is no way around piracy. Making your material cheap and easily available online is the only way to improve their situation. Suing your fans is NOT the best way to go. What are they going to do sue 85% of us? I'll bet that is how many people have books in PDF format that didn't pay for them. Heck it might be higher. But guess what? I'll make a wager that 90% of the illegal digital downloaders have purchased a lot of books, miniatures, and adventures, not to mention getting D&DI.
Hey Wizards! You want to make a ton of money online? Make your PDF's half price, for everyone that owns a D&DI account. Don't put any DRM on them (it will only get broken anyways). You will more than make back your money. Trust me, the character generator and magazines are worth it. If you release the other book PDF's with that deal people will sign up in droves.
Show your customers love and thank them for showing you how important digital manuals are. Don't sue them!

Exactly Chad. As I pointed
Exactly Chad. As I pointed out in Rob's blog, image style pdf scans of basically every game book ever published, D&D or otherwise, are readily available to anyone who knows how to do a google search. All pulling PDF's off of the virtual shelf does is deny them revenue from the people who would have purchased them if they had been left available.
