D&D Insider Compendium Finally Plays Positive Roll in Game Session!

Our last D&D session, which was my Scales of War: Rescue and Rivenroar game, was a blast as usual. We have a fun character mix. Everyone seems to have a good time with the role-playing/fighting mix. One of the nice things that happened the last game session was that the D&D Insider Compendium finally came in handy.

Credit goes to Rob who commented during our game's first rules question about how the Compendium finally has a glossary section. This was updated on April 26th.

"Glossary: added a new Glossary tab to the Compendium. The Glossary provides summary information on combat rules, conditions, weapons properties and type, Monsters and powers keywords, and much more. "

Glossary doesn't really seem to describe it though. It is more of a rules compendium. If you type in "climb" and click on the glossary section, it has all the rules that mention climb in them. Its very handy for those quick ruling decisions where you need to make sure you do things consistently and "by the book".

I think we used it 4 or 5 times in this way. Finally the Compendium comes in handy during game play! I was very pleased that my subscription is paying off even more now. Good job Wizards! (Never say that I don't have anything good to say about Wizards now. OK?)
