USA Today's Story on WOC's "Never Split the Party" Contest

USA Today Online did a short little story on WOC's  "Never Split the Party" contest.  I did not know about this, but it seems if you want to get your old gamming buddies together you can submit an essey and win a trip to Gen Con.

D&D Player Gets Good Press

Minnesota newspaper the Winona Daily News has an article about a nineteen-year-old graduation high school. The remarkable thing about this article is the paper plays with the fact he loves to play D&D without being pejorative. With all the denigration we get from the press, we should celibrate articles like this. Kudos Winona Daily News!!!

Player’s Option: Heroes of Shadow

Reading Critical-Hits.com and found a new book with some new "shadow" power source classes are coming out.  In case you have never heard of the shadow power source, it is the same power source used by the Assassin. The Assassin came in Dragon magazine (DDI Subscription required).

Mike Mearls Explains What He Does in His New Position

In WoC D&D “Player Strategy” Podcast Mike Mearls describes he does in his new position. It is near the end of the podcast but the rest of it is good too. Shelly Mazzanoble joins him and asks a question from a Player Strategy Guide quiz (sound familiar). Also included in the podcast is Jeremy Crawford who is anointed Mikes sidekick for an instant.

Another example of: Everything I Needed to Know in Life, I Learned Playing D&D

Here is an article from a person applying D&D alignments to morality and the modern political world:

Yea, it is a little lame and may not make it to the podcast topic but it is interesting.
