I Submitted the Lords of Tyr D&D Podcast to the Ennies!

Well now I've gone and done it! I just submitted our podcast to the Ennies. I am proud of our rag tag Lords and Ladies of Tyr and how much fun we have had doing these podcasts. Our 1000+ and growing listenership tells me that we are doing something interesting. I have really enjoyed seeing our little podcast grow. I have especially enjoyed our podcasts with our special guests over the last year. So here is to the competition! I was looking at the list of podcasts so far that have entered and I have been a listener to them all. Why? Because they are darn good podcasts. I won't feel bad if we don't win. There are many deserving entries and I have enoyed their shows almost as much as I enjoy ours.

Games Plus to host EN World's "Games Day Chicago"

Well our favorite gaming store is at it again.  It's time for EN World's GAMES DAY Chicago, coming this 2/27/2010 at Games Plus in Mount Prospect.

A free day of gaming and so close to home, who could resist? Sign ups are on the EN World forums and open 2/14/2010.

Even if you don't want to game (then you must be sick....) then you can always spend some cash with the Games Plus folks...you know you need something!

Hope to see you there...

Sorry for the Downtime today. Damn Russian Search Sites!

In case anyone noticed, the site has been up and down this morning quite a bit. As far as I can tell a Russian search site called Yandex (Pretty much Google for Russia) was attempting to index my site in not a very nice way. So I blocked it completely. Things seem to be stable again.

Drivethru RPG Haiti Fundraiser - Donate $20 get $1500 of PDF's!

You love gaming right? You also like helping people that really really need it right? Well now you can do both. Gaming IS good for your soul! :)

Go over to RPG Drivethru and donate $20 to get a whole mess of PDF's.

"Gamers, Let's band together and see how much we can raise to help the people of Haiti.

Donate $20 and get over a thousand dollars worth of RPG titles. After you make the donation, within one business day the items will be added to your order. Then within two business days after that we'll email you letting you know you can come download them -- the response has been so overwhelming that we have to control the rate at which we're allowing downloads.

A listing of the free products available with this coupon can be found on our Gamers Help Haiti page.

If each of us gave just $20, think of what kind of an impact we could make.

Yes, the Lords of Tyr Are Still Around!

Its been a little quiet here at the Lords of Tyr. But we are still here. Stephanie and I welcomed our new son and daughter on January 8th. During the holidays we were insanely busy getting read for them and having a great time with our family. We'll be producing podcasts regularily again at the end of January. In the mean time I just posted the latest podcast, which I was horribly late in editing. So enjoy and we'll see you soon for game night this Saturday and for the next podcast!

Any of the Lords and Ladies interested in D&D Expirience 2010?

D&D Expirience 2010
January 28th-31st, 2010Fort Wayne, IN
Grand Wayne Convention Center

Is anyone thinking about or planning on attending DDXP 2010?  Since it'll be located in the Midwest this year I thought we could get a few people together to represent the LoT (I'll play to Chadarius' ego here...you know we may even run into fans of the Podcast!  or "A Hero's" blog).

RPG Bloggers Network Going Through Some Changes

The RPG Bloggers Network has been going through some growing pains lately.

In addition some leadership changes have occurred – Phil has stepped down from the board and as Community Manager, Dave will be stepping down as leader of the board to a more secondary role as the Network moves forward, Graham will be stepping down as Technical Director, and Danny may still be involved in minor ways with the Network but not to the same extent.

We are searching for new leaders for the Network from amongst our membership and we welcome you to speak up if this is something you’d be interested in helping out with. While we would like to be involved in the process of who will take over the Network, we can also sit aside from that process if it is the will of the collective Network membership.
