D&D Experience and a New Play Experience

Are you looking for something to do for 1-2 hours on Wednesday nights? Well Wizards has something for you! Get thee to a your local Wizards Play Network store starting on March 17th!
There you will find an on going game where one encounter is played each Wednesday night. Players and DM's get rewards. Players can build up points that can be used for current or future D&D Experience encounters.
"DMs get rewards too! In addition to the player rewards in the D&D Encounters kit, there are also special rewards for the DMs, consisting of valuable game aids and other cool specially-made, not-available-for-sale items. Each new season will bring a different DM reward in the kit."
Hmmm. I think some DM's will come out of the woodwork for this one!

Sound Mixer for RPG Games
Submitted by Chadarius on Sun, 01/24/2010 - 13:34The Lords of Tyr have often used music, sounds, and sound effects to great advantage during our games. We don't use it everytime we game. But perhaps that is because we just don't have the right tools. I have 1000's of sounds effects from different games and downloads but I've never really organized them for use during a game as much as I would like.
Now there is a tool that would help with this called Scene Sound. Now, when I create the set of tokens for monsters and NPC's for an encounter, I can also create a set of sounds and background noises! Talk about immersive! I haven't tried this program out, but I plan to mess around with it in the next week or so. Has anyone else tried it? What did you think? Leave us some comments!
How to Connect to uStream Chat with IRC

There is a great article over at PCMech.com that has lots of great information about the different clients and exactly how to connect.
In general here is what you need to do using an IRC client.
You do have a uStream user ID already right? If not, head over to http://ustream.tv and get a user ID.
You will connect to one of these four servers:

chat04.ustream.tv

Character Creation Rules for Bob's new Campaign

We expected some unique ideas and unusual visions from Bob, as he is described by both of those phrases well. It started even before we began to play the game.

Beauty and The Beast . . .er Dragon

For September she wrote about taking some of the core rules in DnD and applying them to the scariest of all situations Dating. Wouldn't you know it . . . that totally make sense. Yes, we have one more way to make DnD relavent in our daily lives. Alright, many of us in our group are married with kids or luckily are engage/ off the market thanks to that little diamond ring. But some are still "available' and haven't totally swarn off the dating scene. What better way to practice for our next campaign or even bone up on your player etiquette than out there in the real yet dangerous dating world (or vise versa)? Or do any of you have that friend or relative who wonders why they haven't found "the one?" There's valuable information for aeveryone right in a game of DnD. Check out the article and see what you think. Perhaps I'm just a crazy girl.

The Rectangle Table of Tyr

Well here's proof that we are on our way.
Step 47: Build an IR pen.
Here it is, The Wand of Tyr in stylish Orange....
And it emits a magical light, unseen by human eyes.
